Al-Azhar Sheikh Praises the King’s Speech and Positions at the United Nations

Al-Taj News – His Eminence the Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, praised the positions of His Majesty King Abdullah II in supporting Arab and Islamic causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, noting that His Majesty the King’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly was “tantamount to conveying the issues and pulse of the Arab and Islamic nation to the entire world.”

During his reception of Jordanian Ambassador to Cairo Amjad Al-Adailah at the headquarters of the Al-Azhar Sheikhdom, he affirmed that the content of the Royal Speech, which received international appreciation, “reflected the steadfast positions of Jordan and the Arab and Islamic nations toward our just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, and the unprecedented aggression and humanitarian suffering witnessed in Gaza.”
